The system of remuneration is a set of rules and norms that determine the procedure and amount of remuneration for employees for their work. The remuneration system consists of such elements as the tariff system, salaries, allowances, bonuses and other types of incentives. The remuneration system should take into account the interests of both the employer and the employees, promote an increase in productivity and work quality, as well as ensure social justice and protection of workers' rights.
Remuneration systems in Ukraine are regulated by the Law of Ukraine "On Remuneration" and other regulatory legal acts. Remuneration systems determine the procedure for calculating wages to employees for work performed, taking into account its complexity, qualifications, performance and quality.
Remuneration systems are divided into tariff and other systems. The tariff system of remuneration is based on tariff rates, which are established depending on the category of work and the employee's qualification. Other remuneration systems are formed on the basis of an assessment of civil service positions, contractual conditions, compatibility, etc. Remuneration systems should ensure competitiveness, transparency, fairness and employee incentives.
